Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in product management, preferably in Appliances, Electronics.
  • Strong analytical skills in market sizing, pricing, portfolio analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Proven experience in managing NPD lifecycles and category roadmaps.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analysis tools, and research platforms (Power BI is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of consumer insights, demand forecasting, and product positioning.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding (SKU P&L, cost buildup, margins)

  • Responsibilities:

  • 1. Category Growth & Business Analysis
  • • Conduct deep-dive analysis on category performance, including market size, trends, CAGR, and growth drivers.
  • • Evaluate competitor activities, pricing structures, and assortment strategies to identify market opportunities.
  • • Build actionable insights to drive category diversification and growth beyond market rates.
  • • Identify white-space categories and new revenue opportunities.
  • • Develop category scorecards to track core KPIs (CAGR, price index, competitiveness score, etc.).
  • 2. New Product Development (NPD) & Innovation Management
  • • Manage the full NPD funnel, from concept testing to pilot launches and full commercial rollout.
  • • Conduct consumer insight research and lead concept validation with target user segments.
  • • Work with R&D, supply chain, and factories to ensure feasibility, cost modeling, and technical fit.
  • • Develop and execute launch playbooks covering demand forecasting, pricing, channel strategy, and marketing assets.
  • • Monitor post-launch KPIs (pilot ROI, repeat purchase %, launch execution score).
  • • Ensure 90%+ NPD success rate through robust governance and market testing.
  • 3. Portfolio Profitability & Cost Optimization
  • • Conduct SKU-level P&L analysis to understand contribution margin, productivity, and cost drivers.
  • • Lead pricing strategy development, including price ladder optimization and elasticity testing.
  • • Identify and eliminate low-performing SKUs through portfolio rationalization.
  • • Drive cost engineering initiatives to improve margins (component changes, packaging, BOM optimization).
  • • Improve SKU profitability through strategic pricing, mix improvement, and cost reduction.
  • • Work with finance and supply chain to ensure accurate cost allocation and product P&L visibility.
  • 4. Portfolio Competitiveness & Category Positioning
  • • Benchmark products against key competitors to map feature/benefit gaps and tier coverage.
  • • Define product USPs and strengthen brand positioning in the market.
  • • Ensure portfolio alignment with customer needs, retail requirements, and consumer trends.
  • • Scan global innovation trends and emerging technologies in Appliances & Personal Care.
  • • Increase competitive score and innovation relevance across all product tiers.
  • 5. Annual Category Planning & Roadmap Execution
  • • Develop and maintain the annual category roadmap, covering NPD, rationalization, promotions, and launches.
  • • Coordinate category alignment with sales, supply chain, marketing, and finance.
  • • Prepare scorecards measuring readiness, accuracy, and roadmap completion.
  • • Lead seasonality planning (e.g., back-to-school, Ramadan, summer cooling, gifting periods).
  • • Identify category risks and create contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted execution.
  • 6. Cross-Functional & External Coordination
  • • Work with sales teams to provide product training, market insights, and channel strategies.
  • • Collaborate with supply chain to ensure correct demand forecasting, stock availability, and order planning.
  • • Partner with quality and compliance teams to ensure adherence to required standards and resolve product issues.
  • • Maintain relationships with suppliers, factories, and global partners for product development.
  • • Coordinate with marketing to develop product packaging, visuals, communication materials, and promotional campaigns.
